Sonia Sotomeyer Who?

If one were to pick our Supreme Court judges according on their ability to uphold the law and refrain from political decisions – they certainly wouldn’t give Sonya Sotomeyer a “nod.”

Below is a copy of Sotomeyer’s speech and unless we’re dumb, numb and verging on stupidity not one of us would want this women sitting in our Supreme Court. Listen to her ramble on as she sits on the bench…

“Each day on the bench I learn something new about the judicial process and about being a professional Latina woman in a world that sometimes looks at me with suspicion. I am reminded each day that I render decisions that affect people concretely and that I owe them constant and complete vigilance in checking my assumptions, presumptions and perspectives and ensuring that to the extent that my limited abilities and capabilities permit me, that I reevaluate them and change as circumstances and cases before me requires. I can and do aspire to be greater than the sum total of my experiences but I accept my limitations. I willingly accept that we who judge must not deny the differences resulting from experience and heritage but attempt, as the Supreme Court suggests, continuously to judge when those opinions, sympathies and prejudices are appropriate.”

When any man or women is loaded down with the baggage that seems to haunt Sotomeyer, one couldn’t expect her to uphold the law, because she wants to be the one to re-write our Constitution.   She’s full of herself and isn’t about to let us forget her experiences, heritage and prejudices.

Her reference to being Latina and her insinuation that many of us are sneaking around looking at her suspiciously because she is Latina only accentuates the fact that she still lives somewhere in the dark ages.

Get a grip Sonia – we’re not going to slam dunk you because you’re a professional Latina woman.  Get off the racial kick, of course there are differences resulting from experience and heritage, but you see we need a Supreme Court judge who can suck it up and go beyond opinions, sympathies and prejudices.

Here’s a not so famous statement made by Sotomeyer that is full of racial tendencies and one must wonder why she has empowered herself with that “better than thou” bunch of crap.

Sonia infers two things that place her a notch above the rest of us: (1) She is a wise Latina woman, (2) Her experiences (unlike the white male) empowers her to reach a better conclusion. This statement was made by Sotomeyer in a 2001 speech and shows blatant disrespect for the white male.

This “Godlike” attitude of Sonia’s and her inability to uphold the law, not rewrite it still follows her like the plague. Look at her ruling on the white firefighters in New Haven.

New Haven promised promotions to their firefighters if they passed their test. Twenty passed and Sotomeyer denied their promotions due to color alone. The Supreme Court immediately overturned her racist ruling.

Dare we call this ruling racial, doused with prejudice and power packed with discrimination or should we attribute Sonya’s ruling to her uncanny Latina power and vast experiences that enables her to come to a better conclusion then the white male.

Sotomeyer made no bones about her biased, racial judgment call – she simply denied these firefighters their promised promotion from the city of New Haven based entirely on color.

This lady not only has guts, but the nerve to rewrite law to suit her fancy – she just kicked the anti discrimination law to the ground and continued her merry way as she manipulated the law with bias and evil intent.

President Obama’s not so subtle introductory speech for Sonya was laced with arsenic, racism and BS. Obama insinuates that we might not like this Latina lady who was hatched on the West side. Get a grip Obama and Sotomeyer, we don’t care if she lived in a pup tent and sold lemonade on the streets.

We do care when both of you try to blindside us one more time – a Liberal, is a Liberal is a Liberal, anyway you slice it. The two of you are prejudice and reek of racism – but the good thing is the man upstairs is still in charge and I’m sure you’ll be receiving a visit from him before you leave this “Ole Mother Earth.”

As Always, Annie
